EL Paso Optometrist - Victor R. Buck, O.D.

Dr. Victor Buck has been interested in vision since seventh grade, when he made a model of the human eye for the school science fair.

He received the Marilyn McAllister Scholarship to pursue his doctorate at Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon.  He soon moved to El Paso to work with Dr. Alpern at The Cataract and Glaucoma Center, and found he felt right at home at the office.

“One of my favorite things overall is the work environment,” he says.  “We have state of the art equipment.  The level of the staff in terms of wanting to help the patient is very high.  The type and quality of care that we deliver is top notch.  I’m absolutely happy to be a part of that.”

Dr. Buck enjoys helping patients through the healing process after surgery.  He has participated in research on glaucoma with Pharmacia and Upjohn.

Dr. Buck has been an active participant in the Boy Scouts since his youth.  He served as an Exploring Executive of the Scouts and continues to serve in various volunteer positions for the organization.
